1. Free to use
BossKazi is free to sign up for and free to use. There is no card to add and no subscription. We may add paid features in future; if we do, nothing you use today will start costing money without clear notice and your agreement first.
2. What BossKazi is, and is not
BossKazi is a tool. It helps property managers, landlords, tenants and fundis (contractors) organise rooms, maintenance jobs, quotes, messages and payment records, and lets a fundi publish a simple public page.
- We are not a party to any agreement between a property manager and a fundi, a landlord and a tenant, or a fundi and their own client. Any job, quote, price, deadline, payment or guarantee is between those people alone.
- We do not vet, license, insure or supervise fundis, and we do not check the quality, safety, legality or timeliness of any work. A fundi’s presence on BossKazi, a public page, a quote or a “finished” tap is not a recommendation or a guarantee by us.
- We do not handle money. Payments are made directly between the people involved. “Mark paid”, “Committed” and similar figures are records you keep, not transactions we perform or verify.
- Quotes, estimates, finish dates and progress taps are entered by users. We are not responsible for their accuracy.
3. Your account
- You must be 18 or over and give true information when you sign up. We may approve, decline, suspend or remove any account at our discretion.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account and through any private link (dashboard link, quote link, portal link) issued to you. Keep them private. If a link or password gets out, tell us and ask for a new one.
- A property manager who adds staff, tenants or fundis is responsible for having their agreement to be added and contacted.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use BossKazi to break the law, to send spam or unwanted messages, to harass anyone, to post false quotes or reviews, to upload anything you do not have the right to share (including photos of people without their consent), to attempt to access other people’s data, or to interfere with the service. We may remove content and close accounts that break these rules.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you upload: photos, videos, descriptions, quotes and documents. You give us a licence to store, copy, resize and show that content to the people entitled to see it, and, for anything a fundi puts on their public page, to anyone who visits that page. You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to share it. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.
6. Messages
BossKazi prepares emails, text messages (when switched on) and ready-made WhatsApp messages about jobs and quotes. WhatsApp messages are sent from your own phone and are your responsibility. We do not guarantee that any message is delivered, read or acted on.
7. Availability and data
- BossKazi is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that it will suit your purposes.
- We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the service at any time, including for maintenance or because a provider we rely on changes or fails.
- You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important (agreements, receipts, photos, records). We do not guarantee that data will be preserved and we are not responsible for loss or corruption of data, however caused.
8. Limits of our responsibility
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, BossKazi; from any job, quote, work, payment, dispute or dealing between users; from any content posted by users; from unauthorised use of a link, password or account; or from loss, corruption or exposure of data.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of profit, business, rent, contracts, goodwill or data, even if we were told it might happen.
- Because BossKazi is free, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the service is limited to TZS 100,000 (or the equivalent) or, if higher, the minimum the law requires.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as for fraud.
9. Your responsibility to us
You agree to cover us against any claim, loss or cost (including reasonable legal fees) that arises from your content, your use of BossKazi, your dealings with other users, or your breach of these terms or the law.
10. Disputes between users
If you have a problem with a fundi, a property manager, a tenant or a client you met through BossKazi, please sort it out with them directly. We may, but are not obliged to, help by sharing records you are entitled to see. We do not mediate, adjudicate or refund.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using BossKazi at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing bosskazisupport@guestlist.net. We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we withdraw the service. Sections 5, 7, 8, 9 and 12 continue to apply after your account ends.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, including the laws applying in Zanzibar, and any dispute with us will be dealt with by the courts there, unless the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be taken away.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use BossKazi after a change means you accept the new terms. If a change is significant we will say so on the site.
